Exciting Things to Watch Out For in New Moon Movie

If you went gaga over the Twilight movie, watch out for more meaty surprises that New Moon has in store for us. New Moon, the second of the Twilight saga, evolves around deeper conflicts among the main characters Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson), Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart), and Jacob Black(Taylor Lautner).

So what makes New Moon exciting?

1. Bella without Edward. Bella with Jacob. When I was reading the book, I can’t imagine how Edward would make his presence felt by Bella. This is one of the things about the movie that excites me.

2. Jacob the werewolf. When I first saw Jacob in Twilight, I didn’t see him as a very tall, beefy guy. But in New Moon, well, he must have really worked out diligently. Just look at how sculpted his abs are!

3. Montepulciano vs. Volterra. The original location for the Italy scenes, as stated in the book, was Volterra. But the production opted to shoot the scenes in Montepulciano, a medieval and Renaissance town in Tuscany.

4. The Wolfpack. Bronson Pelletier (Jared) and Kiowa Gordon (Embry) joins Taylor Lautner in his half-naked stints in the movie. I’m quite anticipating louder shrieks and more voting polls on who’s the hottest cast in this sequel.

5. New director. Chris Weitz (The Golden Compass, About a Boy, American Pie) is New Moon movie director. Twilight’s director Catherine Hardwicke already made her side clear of why she turned down the next instalment. At least we’re off to watching an exciting sequel, thanks to him.

6. The movie soundtrack. Fifteen tracks made it on the list for New Moon’s Soundtrack. You should get to listen to Anya Marina’s Satellite Heart.

7. The cars. I am such an admirer of speeding beauty on the driveway. I can’t wait to see Alice driving that Porsche 911 Turbo. I so envy her!

These are just seven of the exciting things we should watch out for. And I’m sure there’s more. Watch as New Moon shines on cinemas, November 20, 2009.
