Internet Marketing for SMEs and Micro Businesses

Event Hosts BatangasInternet Marketing for SMEs and Micro Businesses is a seminar organized and hosted by us, Gerlie and Dyan. This seminar is the first event of Likha Internet, an internet solutions provider based here in Batangas. The said event was held at Teachers’ Conference Center, Batangas City, Sept. 11.

For the participants, we invited and coordinated with the different schools and universities in the province that offer business and marketing programs. Two hundred fifty (250) participants attended the seminar, as expected.

The country’s top bloggers and internet marketers, Jr Cantos, Marhgil Macuha and Abe Olandres, the father of Philippine blogging, served as the resource speakers. They gave superlative discussions on Basics of Internet marketing, Search Engine optimization and social networking respectively.

Since we have several sponsors like Hersheys, Smart, Guitartutee and WOWBatangas, we were able to give away prizes and giftpacks among the participants.

Despite the hassles and stressful loads of organizing major events like this, your girly emcees and organizers were able to manage the entirety of the event succesfully.

Search for Mr. & Ms. BSU (Lipa Campus) 2009

Mr. and Ms. BSu 2009Beauty contest or beauty pageant is not just a competition based mainly, on the physical beauty. It is also a contest of personality, talent and intelligence. This is why I love hosting beauty pageants. I get to see closely the beauty of contestants, their confidence, personality, talents and wit.

And speaking of beauty contest, I, once again, was tasked to host the 2009 Search for Mr. and Ms. BSU Lipa Campus last August 27. This time, I had Mr. Benedict Medina as a co-emcee.

Among the pageants that I have witnessed in the province, I consider this one as the most organized. The director truly did a great job in organizing the event. He made it easy for us Emcees to just present and introduce contestants and all the people involved in the program. The pageant did not take that long. As I could remember, we started at exactly 7pm and had the contest done by 10:30. There were no sudden changes, presentors were all present, contestants together with their stylists encountered no problem. Everything just happened as planned.

Woven Stories Behind Still Glimpses: Batanguenos Way of Life Through the Lens, Lipa City Colleges, September 2008

This was the first ever photoessay exhibit and contest in the institution and was the biggest event I headed when I was still in Lipa City Colleges. All seven departments of the college level participated in the event and it was amazing to have the support of the department heads and members of the academic council. Woven Stories Behind Still Glimpses: Batanguenos Way of Life Through the Lens intensified my desire to pursue a career in event organizing and my love for photography.

Enhancing Public Speaking Potentials: Essential in Effective Teaching

This seminar focused on the importance of public speaking skills especially for would-be teachers. As the head of the event organizers, I invited Hon. Maria Concepcion “COn-Con” Hernandez, Lipa City Councilor, as the resource speaker. The Education students had a good feedback of the seminar because of the substantial information they got from Councilor Hernandez and the interactive activities we provided for them.
