During his Regis and Kelly interview, Tom Hanks discussed his upcoming HBO war series “The Pacific” which is also from Steven Spielberg and Gary Goetzman. The new HBO show covers the Pacific Theater of World War II in a ten part miniseries starting March 14th. Hanks also discussed mentioned his first ever Time Magazine cover which seemed to excite the actor.

So what exactly is the mistake made? Tom Hanks mistakingly called Kelly Ripa “Kathie Lee” in reference to Kathie Lee Gifford the former co-host of the show. Kelly Ripa corrected Hanks that she’s been a host for nine years now. Regis Philbin said “Everybody used to love Tom Hanks”. Hanks of course apologized to Kelly for the mistake.

Later on after the Tom Hanks slip up on live TV, Ripa got another jab in, but all in good humor. It was brought up that Hanks was a presenter at this year’s Oscars show. Normally it is the previous year’s actor winners who present the awards in the acting categories, so Kelly chimed in “Oh I guess, well you didn’t win last year”. Hanks asked if his nose was bleeding from the serious “pop” he just took in the face, but again there doesn’t appear to be any bad blood between “Kelly Ripa” and Tom Hanks. No comment has been made by Kathie Lee at this time about Tom Hanks on Regis and Kelly either.

I think many of us look back at our high school yearbook photos in horror, or at best bemusement, but not Megan Fox. Her yearbook picture shows she was already hot in high school, and you can already feel the raw charisma that would later make her a star.

These yearbook pictures are presumably from Fox’s time at St. Lucie West Centennial High School in St. Petersburg, Florida. Megan actually only spent a few years there before testing out and graduating early at the age of 17. Fox has spoken extensively of her time at St.Lucie West, claiming she was never popular, due to an aggressive personality and the fact that she got along better with boys. Following the Rose Parade, at 2:10 p.m. (PST), the 96th Rose Bowl Game presented by Citi will feature the No. 8 BCS-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes versus the No. 7 BCS-ranked Oregon Ducks in The Granddaddy of Them All®. The Rose Bowl Game will be broadcast exclusively on ABC and on ESPN radio. The Rose Parade will be broadcasted live on ABC, Hallmark Channel, HGTV, KTLA (Tribune), NBC, RFD-TV, Travel Channel and Univision. The Parade is also seen in more than 200 international territories and countries like the ABS CBN in the Philippines.

There are Rose Parade 2010 live streaming available on the internet but Im pretty sure that we will not enjoy much those poor quality videos of the parade. So better watch Rose Parade and Rose tournament on the following: ABC, Hallmark Channel, HGTV, KTLA (Tribune), NBC, RFD-TV, Travel Channel and Univision.

Kourtney and Scott who had split after two years of dating last November, got back together shortly after Kourtney found out she was pregnant. Kardashian said back in November that Disick is putting in the effort to be a good father. “Scott and I have been going to different parenting classes… They made me nervous at first, putting all kinds of information into my head, but they’re helpful. They’re a fun thing for Scott and me to do together. But honestly, I think nothing can really prepare us except hands-on experience.”

Kourthey Kardashian also expressed her excitement about being a first time mommy. “We’re both nervous and very excited. We’re ready to be parents but nervous because we want to do everything perfectly.”

On the other hand, Taylor Swift had eight nominations, including album of the year, and record and song of the year. Taylor Swift was the recent winner of the American Music Awards Artist of the Year, and the Country Music Award for Entertainer of the Year.

The AMA was created by Dick Clark in 1973 to compete with the Grammys after the move of that year’s show to Nashville, Tennessee led to CBS picking up the Grammy telecasts after its first two in 1971 and 1972 were broadcast on ABC. Nominations are presented in eight categories: Pop/Rock, Country, Soul/Rhythm & Blues, Rap/Hip Hop, Latin Music, Alternative Music, Contemporary Inspirational and Adult Contemporary categories. While the Grammys are awarded based on votes by members of the entertainment industry, the AMAs are determined by a poll of music buyers, and as a result is more of a representative of public opinion.

For this year 2009, American Music Award or AMA ‘09 transpired last night at Nokia Theater, Los Angeles CA. Taylor Swift and Michael Jackson were among the biggest winners for this year’d AMA.

The 58th Miss Universe 2009 (Bahamas) pageant will be aired live on NBC and Telemundo. Again, most beautiful women from 80 plus countries will vie for the most prestigious title, the Miss Universe 2009. Let us all watch out for the winners for this year’s Ms. Universe title.

Dayana Mendoza, the reigning Miss Universe from Venezuela will crown her successor upon the announcement of winners on the coronation night to be happened on August 23 2009. Since May 2009, Mendoza has been touring the world in great height. She traveled to four continents and been to numerous countries such as Russia, Bolivia, Brazil, Puerto Rico, Italy, Spain, France, Ukraine, Argentina, Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Cuba, Vietnam and UAE. She also had a number of trips to USA. The six major sponsors of the show are BSC Swimwaer, Carlos Alberto, Diamond Nexus Labs, Farouk Systems, New York Film Academy and Nina Footwear. Donald Trump and Phil Gurin remain as the executive producer of the pageant.

Here in the Philippines, the much-awaited Miss Universe 2009 will be broadcasted live on ABS-CBN on August 24 at 9:30 a.m. A primetime telecast will be aired the same day via Velvet (SkyCable channel 53) at 8 p.m.

A twelve page booklet were given to those lucky ones who were able to get free ticket to Michael Jackson’s memorial service held at the Staples Center on Tuesday morning.

The most awaited movie of the year is soon to invade theatres here in the Philippines. At this early, we can really say that Transformers, the Revenge of the Fallen is such a big hit. SM and Robinsons Malls have set up tranformers ticket booths for weeks now just to avoid the kilometric queue of transformers fanatics . This must be something huh?

Meanwhile, Transformers, the Revenge of the Fallen is all about the battle for the universe. After returning to Cybertron, Starscream assumes command of the Decepticons, and has decided to return to Earth with force. The Autobots believing that peace was possible, finds out that Megatron’s body has been stolen from the US Military by Skorpinox and revives him using his own spark. Now Megatron is back seeking revenge and with Starscream and more Decepticon reinforcements on the way, the Autobots with reinforcements of their own, may have more to deal with than meets the eye.

With this plot, Transformers the Revenge of the Fallen seems to be another movie that will surely give us one of a kind experience. For sure most of us can’t wait until its release date on June 24. But then again we have to protect ourselves from the threats of H1N1 virus, so please be reminded to bring sanitizer, alcohol with you as you go and watch the movie on its first showing date with hundreds or probably thousands of transformers fanatics.

Universal’s upcoming Land of the Lost movie (2009) which is based on Sid & Marty Krofft’s 1970s TV series of the same name is all set to hit movie screens this June 5.

The film is all about a disgraced paleontologist, his assistant and a macho tour guide who find themselves in a strange world inhabited by dinosaurs, monkey people and reptilian Sleestaks.

In an interview with Comingsoon.net, Ferrell jokingly said, “It’s going to be kind of on the tone of The English Patient, but with horribly frightening realistic dinosaurs. In fact, we only survive for 12 minutes of the film. It’s going to be more like a nature documentary.”

The actor went further by saying that the movie is “going to be kind of hopefully Jurrasic Park in terms of the quality. It’s not going to be so much a spoof. It’s going to be as real as possible and hopefully funny.”

The film is directed by Brad Silberling and stars Will Ferrell. Production of the film began in March 2008. It was originally scheduled to be released on July 17, 2009 but the release or showing date was pushed forward to June 5, 2009.
